Computer lab commissioned for Basic Schools of Pepease District by the Presbyterian Church

Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Pepease District has commissioned a computer laboratory for schools in Kwahu Pepease in the Kwahu East District of the Eastern Region.

The commissioned laboratory will be serving five basic schools in the area and provide the students with Information and Communication Technology (ICT). This will help promote effective teaching and learning in the community.

Reverend George Kwame Acheampong of Kwahu Presbyterian who chaired the ceremony which was held to commission and hand over the project to the community said, the ICT centre was established to support education delivery.

He said the church in their observation noted that there was no computer laboratory in the area and therefore the church on the 25th anniversary held in 2018, decided to use the ceremony to raise funds to inaugurate an ICT centre. Ntim’s family of Pepease through the Give Hope Global, a US-based NGO supported the majorly in the construction of the lab.

He continued by saying that, the church will continue to extend its supportive hands and offer the needed assistance to ensure that every child gets the right to education, no matter their location.

The Pepease District Minister, Rev KennedyTwum-Barimah, also thanked the Founder and Leader of Give Hope Global Mr Roger Braswell and his team for their endless support the showed throughout and for donating laptops, desktop computers and projector for the laboratory.

He said the NGO is always open to support their good work and has also assured them of providing more computers for the lab. He also used the opportunity to call upon citizens of Kwahu Pepease who are capable of assisting to do so.

Kwahu East District Director of Education, Madam Ivy Asantewaa Owusu, expressed their enormous gratitude to the church and the other donors who supported to make this project a reality.

She also expressed her gratitude to the District Minister, Rev. Kennedy Twum-Barimah, for his support and vision for education in the district.
