Ghana Digital Centers’ CEO volunteers to support Ghana Startup Bill

The Technical Working Committee of the Ghana Startup Bill (GSB) has paid a courtesy call to the new Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Digital Centers Limited (GDLC), Hon. Kwadwo Baah Agyemang, at his office.

Talking at the gathering, the Communication Lead for the Committee, Solomon Adjei, demonstrated that the GDCL being a critical partner in the startup, it is judicious that the panel visits the new CEO to invite him into office authoritatively and to draw him further in on the way forward of the Ghana startup bill.

The facilitator for the Ghana Startup Bill, Mr. Sherif Ghali called out the CEO and previous lawmaker to completely engage in the GSB. “We hope you will fully get involved in the process given the posture of the organization you lead and since your ministry will be the sponsor-ministry for the bill.”

He further showed that the bill would go through one final survey in light of the suggestion from a monetary and political risk examination report done on the bill. It will then be introduced to the Minister of Communication and Digitization for further passage to Parliament through the bureau.

Hon. Kwadwo Baah Agyeman, the previous Asante Akyem North legislature, invited the group and the bill, showing his eagerness and preparation to help it in any capacity conceivable to guarantee its entry by the Parliament of Ghana.

I appreciate the work of the Committee, and I humbly volunteer to support you at every step of the way to ensure its passage and implementation”, said the former Board Chairman of National Sports Authority, Hon. Kwadwo Baah Agyemang.


Mss Doreen Aglago-Cofie, GIZ’s Make IT agent, utilized the chance to invite the CEO and repeated GIZ’s obligation to support the entertainers to get the Ghana startup bill sanctioned. She likewise approached the Presidency and Parliament to consider passing the Bill immediately when the last draft is introduced to them.

Since the GSB’s initiation, GIZ’s Make IT project has been the investor and specialized help accomplice. Different accomplices included SNV Ghana’s European Union Funded-grEEn venture and the GIZ AgriBiz project.
