Ghana Digital Innovation Week To Launch On 22 November

The collaborative event between Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Ghana and the office of the Vice President of Ghana, the Digital Innovative Week (GDIW), is bound to be launched from 22-26 November 2021. Th fully packed week of events aims to mobilise collective actions and investments to spur the growth of Ghana’s innovation ecosystem.

Ghana’s ecosystem, over the last decade, has gained a leading position in digital transformation when it comes to Africa. In line with the Trilateral Co-operation among Ghana, Germany and Israel, with local ecosystem partners initiated in 2019, the need for GDIW emerged to create synergies towards a more collaborative and inclusive ecosystem for Ghana’s innovation and development.

The official venue for the GDIW is the Accra International Conference Centre. There will be satellite centres stationed at innovation hubs, parks, campuses, market squares and community centres to disseminate and reach all corners of the country. The Week will spotlight below-the-radar innovations for scaling opportunities.
