Ghana Institute of Journalism Hosts TEDxGIJ 2021
TED talks are hosted all over the world with great ideas shared to like minded individuals. The initials TED represents Technology, Entertainment and Design. There are various independently organized TED like events across the world known as TEDx; where ‘x’ represents the community. Ghana has hosted a couple of TEDx events over the past years. Earlier this year, TEDxAccra and TEDxEastLegon was hosted. TEDxGIJ would be live virtually on the 16th of December, 2021.
The maiden edition of TEDxGIJ would bring together 5 speakers from various fields like tech, arts, tourism, social advocacy, migration, digital marketing and other relevant conversations. ‘Ghana, Africa and Beyond’ is the theme of the event. Happening on Thursday, 16th December 2021, the Curator of the conference; Ms Aretha Forson assured a thought provoking ideas at the event.
Speaking at the event would be Oliver Barker-Vormawor; Convenor of #FixTheCountry, Elizabeth Sasu; CEO of GH Aviation and Tourism Advocate, Nadia Takyiwaa Mensah; Author, Henry Derben; A Visual Diversity Activist and Bright Tenbil; A Digital Marketing Strategist and Tech Blogger. The speakers would spread ideas and stories from their various fields of expertise.
The Co-Curator; Noel Nii Nortei Narku expressed his anxiety for great event as previous events like TEDxUniversityOfGhana, TEDxOsu, TEDxTudu, TEDxAccra, TEDxKNUST, TEDxAhodwo and others has been successful in the last few years. TEDx community in Ghana is held in high esteem with organisers, volunteers, speakers and audience showing extreme support and excitement when ever such event is held.
