It is not a problem with the eVoucher Code. You will have to wait for a while and then try to check again.

Latest Update from GES on School Placement

The Placement portal will be opened on the evening of Sunday 8th September 2019.

You can, therefore, check your Placement from that time. Each placement card can be used by a student an unlimited number of times.

1st year Green and single Track will go to school on the 15th of September 2019.

1st year Gold will also return on the 12th of November 2019.

In order for you to check your CSSPS BECE School placement online, follow the steps below;

  1. The first step is to ensure you have the placement checker, which we will be selling when it is available.
  2. Ensure that you have access to a computer that has Internet access.
  3. Using your computer, visit the CSSPS result checker online portal
  4. Proceed to enter your BECE index number. It should be 10 digits. And also your year of examination. For example, if your index number is 1234567890 and the year of your examination is 2019, this is what you will input: 123456789019.
  5. On your checker, you will get a serial number. Enter the serial number found on top the scratch card in the field designated for it.
  6. Enter your PIN (Personal Identification Number) that will also be found on the scratch card you had purchased.
  7. After you are done, you then click submit. Be patient and wait for the results window to pop up. If you are successful, the CSSPS placement checker print form option will appear. Click on print to print out your form.

How to get the 2019 BECE School Placements Early

To check your placement early, you need to buy the placement checker online or through mobile money and check your 2019 placements on your phone.

Use Google Chrome browser because of opera mini usually gives error and you might not see the results.


According to the Director of Communications at the Ministry of Education, Mr Vincent Ekow Assafuah, iterations are being done ahead of the release of the placements.

According to him, a 10% quota had been reserved for students who attended public junior high schools (JHS).

A total of 517,139 students out of the 517,331 students who sat for the Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) is expected to be placed in 721 schools across the country.

A total of 173 candidates had their subject results cancelled for bringing foreign material into the examination hall while 19 other candidates also had their entire results cancelled for bringing mobile phones into the examination hall.

According to Mr Assafuah, the number of vacancies available in senior high schools is yet to be finalised.

Despite this, he said, the placement would start with 346,094, which is the number of students who completed SHS in 2019.

Mr Assafuah confirmed that the Ghana Education Service (GES) had received raw scores or merit list from the West African Examination Council (WAEC).

According to him, management was yet to firm up the qualification criteria since it was currently analyzing the results to find how many BECE candidates qualified for SHS.

Mr Assafuah also said resolution centres would be set up in the 10 regional capitals, excluding capitals of the newly created regions.

In addition, he stated that the ministry would put out contact numbers to be called for assistance.
