MTN Ghana Furnishes Clients WIth A Web-Based Portal to Expedite SIM Registration

MTN Ghana is asking all clients who are yet to register their SIM cards to utilize its devoted MTN SIM Registration Web Portal to finish their registration as the date for the deadline of 31st July 2022 is fast approaching. The SIM Registration Web Portal URL is https://simregistrationportal.mtn.com.gh. The entry can be found on the MTN site.

The SIM Registration Web Portal gives clients access to connect their Ghana cards to their SIM card(s) prior to visiting the service centers or authorized agent point for the biometric capture. The gateway furnishes clients with a web variant of the USSD interaction (*404#) for the connecting of clients’ Ghana cards to their SIM Card(s).

The online portal permits clients to equally connect their Data-Only SIM card(s) to their Ghana card without eliminating their SIM Card(s) from their gadgets. The portal joins SIM cards in routers, MIFIs, TurboNets, surveillance cameras, GPS beacons, and other non-cell phone gadgets.

Remarking on the portal, the Chief Sales and Distribution Officer, Shaibu Haruna said “As we draw close to the 31st July deadline for the SIM Registration exercise, we are employing all channels to ensure every customer on our network is fully registered. This is why we are encouraging our customers to use the MTN SIM Registration Web Portal to expedite the process”.

The online interface acts as a channel for clients with Know Your Customer (KYC) issues, for example, name mismatch to have the option to transfer pictures of their evidence of ownership reports to lay out their personality and ownership of the card(s). Individual and Corporate post-paid lines can also make use of the portal to link their SIM Card(s) to the Ghana Card.

MTN Ghana, as a component of the current SIM Registration Exercise, fostered the online interface to improve and accelerate the registration cycle for both voice and data SIM cards. The SIM registration exercise is finishing on July 31st, 2022, and all MTN clients are supposed to enlist by the given deadline.
