We Must Learn To Live Together as Brothers or Perish Together as Fools

We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools.

-Martin Luther King, Jr.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. made this statement in his speech in St. Louis, Missouri in late March 1964.
Today, this quote remains as one of my favorites and guides me even in making the smallest of my decisions. Would it not be better to have everyone as friends than to make enemies? Yeah, I know right? Easier said than done, but an effort made could result in more friendships. Humanities benefits more from friendship and happiness than from vice.

Reflect on this – “Living together as brothers.”
What can you do to ensure cordial relationship among you and the people close to you? How can you solve misunderstandings between your friends? How can you relate to everyone as a brother and a sister? Everyone is family! And family is accommodating. People do not get kicked out of the family just because the family gets bigger, we accommodate one another. We live as brothers! Because together, we can stand together.

Well, I say we learn to respect each other and learn each other. Let us try as much as we can to live together as brothers, because we cannot afford to perish together as fools. We are not foolish.

When you read this, leave a comment – a positive one. Remember, we must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools.
