SmartCover App Introduced To Digitise The Insurance Industry

There have been significant revenue losses in our insurance industry for a decade and with the introduction of the SmartCover App, such challenges such as issuing of fake certificate and insurance policies will all be at a halt.

This digital insurance solution idea was established by Enterprise Computing, a technology organisation, together with Microsoft Corporation. This will now make it easier and convenient for customers to purchase and verify policies directly from their phones.

Insurance policies and payment are now digitized in such a way that, agents can add new customers, issue certificates, receive payment, etc. with both parties, the agent and customer receiving instant notifications. Sticker sales have also been digitized and thereby, all revenue issued on each sticker is been tracked. Making revenue losses to be eliminated.

Customer service is also available 24/7 in the form of a chatbot with an artificial intelligence feature, making interactions with insurance companies at all hours instead of the usual working hours possible.

Mr Rommel Lartey, A participant from the insurance industry at the launch made it known how excited he was about the features of the app especially the USSD which makes it possible for customers to use the app without an internet connection and other features on the app were highly praised by other members.

According to Mr Michael Odame Tutu, with the digital tracking of motor sticker and certificate which can be regarded as a key feature of the App can save the industry millions of cedi’s which would have been embezzled. ‘’ the USSD option we have included in this app will enable law enforcement to verify stickers to help solve these challenges.’’ He added.

Ifeanyi Aneke, Microsoft’s Cloud Architect, expressed how impressed he is with participants from the industry and urge them to quickly innovate through digitization so they can be competitive as well as increasing market share.

The CEO of Enterprise Computing, Mr Jake Oyartey, made an example with Vehicles uses improved tech to determine the distance covered and where their customers are located for  pick up and made emphasis that within a short period of time, more vehicles will become part of the ‘’internet of things.’’ And with technology advancement, the world would be an interesting place to be.
