Top Tips for Surviving Exam Seasons and Meeting Assignment Deadlines
The college experience can be overwhelming. It can feel like you’re going to drown if there are so many assignments and exams. These are our top tips for getting through exam season, deadlines, and staying afloat.
Ask for Help with the Tests
Because of my busy schedule, I have had to pay someone to take my test. It is not cheating. It is just someone paying me to do something I cannot do. It’s been great! Ask for help if your exams are difficult or you want to concentrate on assignments.
Take a break and be kind to yourself
It is crucial to take breaks whenever you feel overwhelmed. You also need to give yourself a reward for completing tasks. So, for example, after finishing this blog post, I will make myself a cup and treat myself to a hot cup of tea and a piece of cake. This small reward can help you stay motivated and on track.
Get enough sleep
You need to sleep well during exam season. This will allow you to stay sharp and focused. It is important to go to sleep at a reasonable hour and to shut off any electronics before going to bed. This will allow you to rest and get a good night’s sleep. It is recommended that you sleep at least 8 hours each night.
Exercise
Exercising can also help you make it through exam season. Exercise releases endorphins. These have mood-boosting effects and stress-relieving qualities. Even a small walk around the block is enough to make a significant difference. Get moving!
Yoga, Pilates, running, and other exercises are my favorites.
Eat well
Skipping meals and eating unhealthy food during exam season are two of the most dangerous things you can do. This will only make your body feel tired and sluggish. You should eat at least three healthy meals per day and have healthy snacks. Fruits, veggies, nuts, and seeds are my favorite healthy snacks.
Include lots of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains in the diet. Make sure to drink plenty of water!
Take Some Time to Care for Yourself
It is important that you allow yourself to relax during exam season. You should schedule some “me-time” even if it is just for a few seconds each day. This could be reading, listening, or spending time outdoors.
Don’t procrastinate
Procrastination makes it difficult to be productive. It’s the thief and master of your time. If you want things to get done, procrastination may be your worst enemy.
So how can you beat procrastination?
Here are some tips.
-Set realistic goals. Break them down into smaller tasks. To build momentum, you should start with the easier tasks first.
-End all distractions and turn off your phone, social networks, and email notifications.
-Find a buddy at work who can help you keep on track.
Burnout can be avoided by taking frequent breaks.
-Don’t be too hard on yourself.
