Zeepay Mobile Money Service To Be Launched In Ghana

Zeepay mobile money service would be made available to clients of Zeepay Ghana soon. This initiative comes with the Bank of Ghana recently offering an Electronic Money Issuer (EMI) or mobile money operating license to the parent company, Zeepay Ghana.

Being granted this permit, Zeepay subscribers can access mobile money services such as cash in and cash out, P2P transfers, and payments; as well as Digital Termination of Remittances (DTR).

Emphasizing on the importance of this development, Mr Paa Kwesi Yankey, Chairman of the Bank Of Ghana (BOG) board said that Zeepay would now be able to expand its services within the mobile financial services industry.

Soon, subscribers of Zeepay’s services would be able to send and receive money from over 100,000 agent network available. Also, related services such as bill payment, airtime top-up, insurance and others would be performed on the platform when the service is launched.
