In the 21st Century, businesses need to take advantage of every opportunity to maximise their marketing presence to as many potential customers as is possible. The most efficient way of doing this is to implement a highly effective online marketing strategy. However, many businesses, especially small businesses, struggle to implement any kind of online marketing as they do not have the expertise.

For this reason, the National Youth Authority, Ghana is offering a fully sponsored training program in online marketing for Ghanaian youth with an interest in pursuing careers in technology and growing their business.

Background

According to the 2016 Annual Ghana Social Media Report, 7,958,675 of the population can be found online ranking the country 47th highest internet user. The report stated that the average Ghanaian spent not less than 3hours 30minutes browsing the internet on his/her phone daily.

The Youth therefore as the majority of the working population and as the majority unemployed needed to be equipped to take advantage of the huge space and employment opportunities that knowledge in information technology and its various platforms and applications offer.

The training will help the youth increase their knowledge and understanding of what online marketing involves and how to go about implementing a successful online marketing strategy. The training will be of great interest to all youth (entrepreneurs or not) who lack the knowledge and expertise to implement an online marketing strategy but who recognise the importance of having an effective online marketing plan for the continued success of their business.

Entry Requirements

  • The minimum entry requirement is a Junior High School certificate or higher.
  • Knowledge of technology software is a plus but not necessarily a requirement to get into the program.
  • The opportunity is open to every young Ghanaian with a passion to develop skills in technology entrepreneurship and engage in paying projects.
  • Age Range: 18 – 35 years. Educational Level: SHS – Degree
  • Deep passion & Interest for entrepreneurship, technology, design, mobile development.
  • Must have stamina, drive & passion to succeed
