Starting from the 1st of July 2022, no Bank Account in Ghana would be able to fully function or make transactions if it is not linked with a Ghana Card.
Initially, Banks in Ghana required that customers walked into their branches to complete the bank linking; but with most customers unable to visit the branches, and with the deadline fast approaching, most banks have developed online platforms to collect customers’ Ghana Card details.

- First, visit the Ghana Card link page of your bank using the URL above
- Enter your Bank Account Number
- Enter your date of birth
- Upload the front of your Ghana Card
- Upload the Back of your Ghana Card
- Wait for an email saying you have successfully linked your Ghana Card and Bank Account
